Foreword

Taking into account my liking for the fantasy genre, I have chosen this series of books for my assignment.

Mainly, the series revolves around magic and dragons, but they are also about the development of the characters, all of which are constantly growing and evolving, striving to become more than they are.

In my opinion, the main storyline of the series has a certain charm, effectively making you unable of dropping the book, for hours and hours. Because the story develops through the eyes of several characters, it allows for a full account of events happening all over Alagaësia’s map. Therefore, the story never gets anywhere near dull or unattractive, on the contrary, it becomes more and more enthralling, as you flip page over page.
